To download stuff

Hello all,
We have attached a drop io link to the blog, please go there to download the 10 July schedule (version 1). It might be subject to change, so you might want to keep checking it for updates, if needed. It's best if you at least have a look so that you know what's going to happen then. We'll give you the password during Monday's rehearsal :) I think most of you would be able to guess it though...

audition results

Dear VJCPE,

The results of the pieces which have undergone the auditions in May/June are released.

In the mean time, please try to sell your tickets!
we have 42 members. that means, even if every single member finish selling 1 booklet, we CANNOT EVEN FILL THE LOWER DECK! we are not like other performing arts cca that has 70+ ppl. so go sell!! sell more than one booklet (: everyone jiayou!

Please continue to practice. I cannot over emphasize this point anymore.
1. There are many pairs who know their notes but don't shape.
2. Know their notes but do not play together
3. The above, and/or do not start/end together
4. Know their notes with inconsistent rhythm
5. Do not know their notes???!!!
6. Pieces that have not been auditioned, or have been scheduled a re-audition : Read below for elaboration

You know which category you belong in. To date, many of us still cannot say that our piece has reached the stellar performance standard that we desire and hence cannot afford slackening. Please note that if the selected players fail to prove themselves satisfactory to the MDs and Mr. Ku after this, they will be removed with little mercy from the performance list.

Pieces Accepted through Auditions:

Prepare your programme notes by 20 June and send to thevjcpianopeople@gmail.com . Refer to past programme notes available in piano room if u duno how to write.

OLD FOLKS CIP

we're going to Min Chong Comfort Home, which is at 39 Sims Ave Singapore 387412.

If any of your other friends in piano ensemble are interested to join as a volunteer or performer for our CIP, please remind them to tell karen ASAP!
We'll be going down on Wed of the March holidays (18 March) from 2-4.30pm.
Person-in-charge on the old folks home side is Mr. Steven.
Performers please practise! :D
Attire is VJC based shirt and PE shorts, shoes (no slippers!)

We will be divided into four groups (2 groups for befriending, 1 group for performing, 1 group to help out), as there are 4 storeys in the home. We will rotate among the 4 groups such that all for storeys get to listen to the performers.

The befriending groups and the group to help out will be made up of the volunteers.
Befriending group 1: Michelle, Jia En, Jasmine (tentative) (3)
Befriending group 2: Jonathan, Sherilynn, Liu Jie (3)
Helping out (to help the home): Kerryn, Liang Ou (2)
If you want to, you can do a mutual swap to change your role (eg. from befriending to helping out). But please give me a message if you do so :)
The befriending groups and helping out group will probably be briefed by the administrator there.

Since there are 2.5 hours there, we estimate about 40 minutes per unit (of performing, helping, befriending). That's including buffer time within each unit
We will be meeting at 1.15pm in VJC and will make our way down together. Please have lunch before 1.15 :D
FYI, these are the other old folks going down with you :D :
